The Proud Owners, Brenda & Will Miller

As the owners of Playful Pooch, we are committed to providing excellent care and attention to every dog that visits The Pooch.  Our goal is to provide a relaxing and nurturing experience that includes supervised socialization in a safe, clean and fun environment, with lots of personal love and attention from our experienced, caring and certified Pet Care Technicians.

Having spent over twenty years in banking, Will has always been interested in the pet care industry and has taken several classes through the Pet Care Services Association.  He is an ABKA Certified Pet Care Technician.  Brenda has been a financial consultant for over 25 years and now enjoys working at The Pooch with all of our great customers and their pooches.  We were obviously destined to work with dogs, since we met while attending Southern Illinois University in Carbondale which is home to the Salukis!

Most importantly, we are the owners of two rescue dogs, Mollie, a Tibetan Terrier, and Bristol, a Brittany mix.  Bristol loves being the "Top Dog" at The Pooch while Mollie prefers lounging up front in the office.  We couldn't resist showing you their Halloween picture from this year!  Our first dog, Willie, lived to be almost 17 years old and it was hard to find places to leave him while traveling on business and vacations.  It was this struggle to find a suitable place that would provide the extra attention that Willie needed as he got older that led us to enter the dog boarding and daycare business.

Our Great Pooch Staff

Our staff is absolutely the best in town!  We hire caring staff who know how much fun it is to work in a doggy daycare, but also understand how dedicated you must be to work 365 days a year.  Our experienced and professionally trained staff have helped us become one of the few facilities in Denver that has received the Gold Standard Accreditation from the Colorado Association of Dog Daycares.  This is awarded based upon the extensive training that our staff has received.

Glen Cunningham has been with us since we opened in 2007 and has over 20 years of dog training experience.  Glen uses a gentle but consistent approach to work with all our pals who may have some behavioral issues that need some support.

Kelli Scott has been with us for over 3 years and has over 6 years of supervisory experience working with dogs.  Kelli is our front manager and her utmost concern is the safety, health and well-being of our pals here at The Pooch.

Brad Alston has worked for us for over 5 years and is absolutely crazy about our pooches.  We often find him down on the ground, surrounded by all his buddies and in his lap....even if it's Diesel, a big Rottweiller who thinks he's still a puppy!

Sio Glofelty joined us two years ago and she loves giving the dogs lots of special attention especially during their nice, long relaxing baths with massages.  She has had 6 years of supervisory experience in the dog daycare environment.

Cejay Dawson joined us last year and is one of our younger staff members but already has three years of past experience working in a boarding facility.  She loves working in a doggy daycare for the first time and has become great buddies with all our pals.

Lindsay Vanderneut started here last spring and has several years of doggy daycare experience.  She does a great job working with the dogs in group play to make sure everyone has fun, but also plays safely and nicely!

Tori Creighton joined us last year and has several years of dog daycare experience.  Her loving and gentle way with the dogs made her fit right into our wonderful Pooch family. 

Taylor Acker started last year, her first job working in a doggy daycare.  She was raised with dogs since she was a baby and it certainly shows in her dog handling skills.

Our experienced and trained staff always provide lots of love and attention while assuring a fun and very safe monitored play environment.
